SPANISH COURSES
.- When do the Spanish courses start?
You can begin a Spanish course of every level each Monday of the year. In case Monday is a bank holiday, classes start on Tuesday.
.- What are the opening hours of Pylmon Languages?
We are open from Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 9:00pm, without interruption.
If you have any questions or doubts, you can call us during these times and you can also use the school’s computers and Internet for free.
.- How can I enrol for a Spanish course?
We recommend you to complete the enrolment form as soon as you know which dates you want to book the course and the accommodation you are interested in. Once we receive the enrolment form, we will contact you and give you all the detailed information.
.- How many days in advance do I need to book my course/ accommodation?
You can enrol for a course the week before you want to start but the sooner you enrol, we can let you know if there will be a course for your level.
Concerning accommodation, it is highly-recommended to book it at least one or two months before your arrival so that we can find the best option according to your preferences.
.- Do I need to do a level test?
In order to let us find the right group for you, you need to do a level test at least two weeks before arrival. The first day of the course you can do the oral test and in case you are already in Barcelona, you can do it before. In order to make an appointment for that, please contact the school.
If you have never studied Spanish before, just let us know and in that case you do not need to do a level test.
.- How much time do I need in order to complete a level?
In general, you need 4 weeks to complete a level but this depends of course also on your effort and motivation. Our academic coordinator assesses you in order to find the right course for you.
.- Which method and material do you use in the lessons?
Pylmon uses a communicative method providing the student a solid knowledge of grammar so that he can develop his communication abilities and his vocabulary in order to be able to interact in a variety of situations and contexts.
.- Are the courses accredited?
Pylmon’s Spanish courses for foreigners are accredited by the Cervantes Institute which guarantees not only highest quality with regard to our courses but also concerning the additional services we offer.
Our courses are accredited and fulfil the requirements for obtaining scholarships by CSN in Switzerland and Bildungsurlaub in Germany.
.- Is it possible to do an extensive course in the mornings?
Yes, any of our extensive courses can be scheduled any day and time. As soon as we have a minimum of 3 students with the same level as well as the same availability concerning the schedule, we offer a course.
.- Do you also offer courses in combination with cultural activities (Salsa courses, cooking lessons etc)?
Yes, we do offer Spanish courses combined with cultural activities. You just need to let us know what exactly you are interested in and then we will send you a detailed quotation including all the relevant information.
.- Do you offer courses in other cities of Spain?
Yes, now you also have the opportunity to study in other cities in Spain; we have partner schools where you can study Spanish and get to know the customs in other parts of the country.
You can do a Spanish course and thereby combine visits to other cities; for instance start studying in Barcelona, then in Valencia and finally in Málaga.
ACCOMMODATIONS
. - Do you offer accommodation as well?
If you like, we can arrange accommodation for you as well. We offer various types of accommodations according to the student’s preferences respectively: host families (breakfast or half-board), shared apartment (without food), student residences (only available in summer), hotels or private apartments.

.- Do the school’s accommodations have Internet connection?
The shared apartments usually have internet connection (WiFi). With regard to the host families, these increasingly have Internet access as well.
.- Where are the accommodations located?
All the accommodations are selected and supervised by us in order to make sure that these provide a maximum standard and therewith offer you the best service during your stay. The accommodations are located maximum 15-20 minutes from the school (either walking or by public transport).
.- How can I get from the airport to the accommodation?
You can take the bus or the train which connect the International airport with the centre of Barcelona.
Another option is to book the pick-up service offered by us (from/ to the airport) and then a representative of our school will pick you up.VARIOUS QUESTIONS
.- What is the average age of your students?
The average age of our students ranges between 20 and 35 but in general we accept students aged 16 plus. Sometimes we also make exceptions e.g. in the case of groups or private classes.
.- Do you also organize cultural activities?
We offer a program of cultural activities so that our students get to know the city and its surroundings. Besides, we offer a cultural class every Wednesday, Spanish movie nights, “tapas” with our teachers, tasting sessions of typical Spanish cheese and wines etc.
Our Pylmon Social Club organizes weekly meetings for all our students.
.- Is there free Internet access at the school?
We provide 5 computers with free Internet access as well as Wi-Fi so that you can also connect your notebook or your mobile phone.
.- How can I arrange my visa?
Before you book the course, we recommend you to inform yourself about the whole procedure and all the requirements for a visa at the Spanish embassy in your home country.
Afterwards you can enrol for a course and once you paid the respective amount (course/ accommodation), we will send you the documents needed in order to obtain your visa.
