GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS SPANISH COURSES

1.- GENERAL

•  Under no circumstances will the School be held responsible for events beyond its control or for students' actions inside and outside the School.

•  The School will not be held responsible for any accidents which may occur outside the centre during the students' stay.

•  The minimum age for students is 18 years old. The School Management reserves the right to accept minor students under exceptional circumstances.

•  Formal registration implies that the student accepts the General Terms and Conditions as well as the norms and rules established by the school.

2.- COURSES

• Where two days' holiday fall in the same week, lessons will be recuperated for one day only. Where only one day is a holiday students will make up 2 hours of class (Int. 10-20). If a Monday is a holiday classes will start on Tuesday. If a student does not attend class the lessons will not be recuperated.

•  In the case of an individual tuition lesson, a written cancellation notice must be provided at least 24 hours in advance in order to retrieve the lesson.

•  The School Management reserves the right to modify timetables, prices or courses due to circumstances beyond the school's control.

•  During the peak season some lessons might be given in classrooms located outside our premises.

•  School management reserves the right to modify courses and accommodation.

3.- ACCOMMODATION

•  Accommodation is available from 12:00AM on the Sunday before the beginning of the course to 12:00AM on the Saturday after the end of the course. Students may stay longer only upon previous notice and payment for the corresponding extra nights,.

•  Students staying in a shared flat must pay a deposit of 100€ upon arrival. This amount will be refunded the day they leave when the keys are handed in and provided that no damage has been caused to the flat and no established rules have been broken.

•  Expenses incurred as a result of damage to objects caused by carelessness will be charged to the student responsible. If no single student is found to be directly responsible, repair expenses will be divided between all the students staying in the flat.

•  Arrival time to the place of accommodation must be notified beforehand; otherwise, the School will not be held responsible for delivering keys or finding the host family.

•  Accommodation requested for last minute registrations cannot be guaranteed.

•  If the student does not feel comfortable in the requested accommodation, s/he may change to another accommodation of the same sort within the first week of stay (without extra cost). After this period, an extra charge will apply. Changing the type of accommodation implies paying the difference.

4.- AIRPORT TRANSFERS

•  Airport transfer information (flight, date, and time) must be confirmed in writing at least one week before arrival. Otherwise, the School will not be held responsible for the students' transfer and the fee will not be refunded.

•  The School will not be responsible for any delays or changes on the transfer information without previous notice

5.- ADMISSION AND EXPULSION

•  The School reserves the right to cancel the reservation of those students who upon arrival have not paid the total amount for the course, accommodation and other contracted services.

•  A serious offence or repeated bad behaviour may lead to the student's expulsion without refund of fees.

6.- CANCELLATION

•  All cancellations must be notified in writing to the School (by letter, fax or e-mail).

• Course or accommodation fees will not be refunded once the course has started.

•  In the case of cancellation at least 4 weeks before the scheduled start date of the course, 75 % of the amount paid for the course and accommodation fees will be refunded. The registration fee will not be refunded.

•  In the case of cancellation at least 2 weeks before the scheduled start date of the course, 50 % of the amount paid for the course and accommodation fees will be refunded. The registration fee will not be refunded.

•  In the case of cancellation within the last 2 weeks before the scheduled start date of the course, 25 % of the amount paid for the course and accommodation fees will be refunded. The registration fee will not be refunded.

7.- HOLIDAYS

January 1, March 21 and 24, May 1 and 12, June 24, August 15, September 11 and 24, October 12, November 1, December 6 and 8.

The school will remain closed since the 20th of December 2008 up to the 28th of December 2008(inc.).

In the case that there is two holidays in the same week, lessons will be recuperated for one day only.
