Training Course for Teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language - ELE
This course consists of 120 hours divided into two blocks: theory and practise. The objectives of the course are to educate the participants in communicative methodologies, tools, strategies and the necessary know-how in order to teach Spanish as a foreign language, thereby combining theory and practise.
CONTENTS OF THE THEORETICAL PART
- Structuring LESSONS
- Presentation and practice of a modern foreign language
- Basic questions about the acquisition of foreign languages
- Usual methodologies for teaching foreign languages
- The linguistic skills in teaching and studying Spanish as a foreign language: listening,
speaking, reading and writing
- Grammar in Spanish lessons: contrasting past tenses, por/ para, ser/estar, use of subjunctive
etc.
- Program and management of lessons
- Evaluation
- Analysis of material and didactic resources
- The Spanish teacher: interior and exterior job possibilities
PRACTISE
The teachers give lessons to adult students of different nationalities and levels.
During these classes the teacher is being observed by a tutor that is directing the posterior analysis.
In order to plan the practical lessons according to the rules given by the tutor the students have to prepare a class within a group everyday; this takes place after the lessons.
